Beautiful cotton batik with a Fern design in predominantly Red tones. Ideal for patchwork, throws, homeware, crafts...you name it, the list is endless with this amazing batik! We�re sure you will be inspired to make something beautiful with this fabric.
The word batik originates from the Javanese �tik� which means to dot, and in Indonesia it is part of an ancient tradition. Some of finest batiks in the world are still made there although beautiful batiks are made in many other countries and regions in south and east Asia and many countries in Africa. Batiks are made by �blocking out� areas of fabric by brushing or painting hot wax over them to resist the dye. When the fabric is dyed, the waxed areas remain the original colour. This can be repeated to get more elaborate, colourful and layered designs. The wax is removed at the end of the process.

As a general guideline, UK customers will typically receive their orders in 2-4 working days, European customers in 5-10 working days and the rest of the world in 7-12 working days. Of course, deliveries may take longer during busy periods, such as Christmas and Bank Holidays, so please be patient at those times.

Orders for a large selection of fabric may take longer to process, and we will let you know if this is the case. A daytime telephone number helps to contact you in good time in such cases.

In general, we ship orders using Royal Mail for both UK customers and customers abroad.

We are more than happy to refund faulty or damaged items. However, we can only refund cut fabric, ribbon or other cut or made to order product if the product is faulty or damaged, as we would have cut it specifically for you.
